Halloween Scooby Doo
This is my second seasonal post as it’s well and truly autumn in the UK now and getting close to Halloween. I made this a few years ago when it was dark and cold outside.
I’ve always loved Scooby Doo and I thought this image of him carving a pumpkin then scaring himself with it was pretty cool :-)
I embroidered the centre panel using cross-stitch by hand, then I found some brilliant Halloween fabric to stitch and create a soft, quilted frame.

More Scooby Stuff I made!
Using the same basic Scooby design I made two quite different things:
1) Painting with glass paint.
2) Felt applique on a cushion.I don’t have an unhealthy obsession with Scoobs.
I’ve made all these things over several years.
Really.
It’s true ;-) -
Scooby Dooby Doooooooooo!

Autumn Bear
My Mum loved bears so one Xmas I knitted her one. Rather than just using plain old boring acrylic wool, I used this fuzzy fringe stuff that looks like a continuous strand of false eyelashes. It’s quite hard to work with but the result was worth it. The gorgeous, variegated autumnal colours gave him his name.
I did say to my Mum that I’d like to make 3 more for her for Spring, Summer and Winter. I never got round to it though. Maybe I will one day……….

New Background
I was really bored with old standard background that comes with this theme and decided to replace it with something I made.
I took a scan of an experimental blobby painting that I did ages ago (and thought was a bit rubbish) and loaded it into Photoshop. Played around with the filters and settled on the mosaic tile effect. The pics are the before and after.
I’m loving the colour effect in the result :-D

Jewellery!! Jewellery!! Jewellery!!
I’ve been busy creating some unique, cheap & cheerful designs. People have said to me for years that I should sell the stuff I make but I’ve never been brave enough. So I thought it was about time I gave it a go. I’ve made much fancier and more intricate stuff in the past (for myself or as gifts) but for this project I decided to use fairly inexpensive materials and simple designs. This way, if they don’t sell I’ve not invested too much in them. At least it tests the water of the whole experience.
I’ve used a mixture of materials: plastic pony beads, glass beads, hematite, handmade (by me) FIMO millefiori beads. Instead of fiddly clasps that are a nightmare to fasten or they break, I’ve used rubber elastic that stretches to fit or memory wire that wraps round the wrist/finger several times. Easy and comfy to wear :-)

Dragon Lurking In The Bushes
I ran out of canvasses to paint on so I decided to paint the metal lid of the tin I keep my acrylic paints in. He’s pretty fierce. Roaaarrrrrr!! :-)
